Praying the word of God is so much more powerful than using any words our own minds can think up. One of the most powerful things you can do for yourself and others is to pray the word of God, pray the scriptures. You can't go wrong when using the truth of God's word. Paul wrote many prayers in the epistles to the various churches. I love the two he wrote to the Ephesians and recently I have been praying these prayers for our chapter. Who doesn't need wisdom and Godly knowledge? Who wouldn't want to be strengthened and be rooted and grounded in love? Below are the prayers, I encourage you to change the nouns and pronouns and begin praying them for yourself, your church and the people that are in your life. God's word is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword. (Hebrews 4:12)
Eph 1:15-20 Therefore I also, hearing of your faith in the Lord Jesus and love to all the saints, do not cease giving thanks for you, making mention of you in my prayers, that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him, the eyes of your understanding being enlightened, that you may know what is the hope of His calling, and what is the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints, and what is the surpassing greatness of His power toward us, the ones believing according to the working of His mighty strength which He worked in Christ in raising Him from the dead, and He seated Him at His right hand in the heavenlies
Eph 3:14-19 For this cause I bow my knees to the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, of whom the whole family in Heaven and earth is named, that He would grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with might by His Spirit in the inner man; that Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that you, being rooted and grounded in love, may be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth and length and depth and height, and to know the love of Christ which passes knowledge, that you might be filled with all the fullness of God.
