As I watched My Hope America by Billy Graham last night, tears came to my eyes as I looked over his life and thought about the many, many lives he has influenced towards the gospel. I am reading a biography right now about Louis Zamperini; an 1936 Olympic runner whose WWII plane went down over the Pacific. He was tortured and imprisoned by the Japanese. Years after the war still angry and broken he heard a gospel message by Billy Graham; he became born again and his life changed forever. He was instrumental in the reconciliation process with the Japanese and he started a ranch in California called Victory Ranch for boys who were troubled.
Just that one person who Billy Graham preached the gospel to helped change the lives of many young men who then went on to influence other people. When you minister the gospel to one person, you never know how many people down the line will be impacted. Think on that today and every day as you walk through this life. Who needs Jesus? Who needs love? Who can I influence for the gospel? Lord place people in my path that need you.
Billy Graham has influenced maybe millions and you may say I am not a famous preacher. But the one person you influence today could be the next Billy Graham. The person you influence today could change a whole family, a whole generation. You could save one life and that will have an impact on hundreds.
Remember your Christ-like influence and your dedication to sharing the gospel will make a major impact for good in this world and for the Kingdom on God.
