Ephesians 4:16 from whom the whole body, joined and knit together by what every joint supplies, according to the effective working by which every part does its share, causes growth of the body for the edifying of itself in love.
I am a jigsaw puzzle person. There are no two pieces of the puzzle that are exactly the same. There may be similar shapes but the colors are different. There may be some pieces where the colors are the same but the shape is different. The body of Christ is the same as these puzzles. Paul told us in many ways and in several places in the New Testament that we are to be fit together, knit together and joined; not all the same but as different parts of the body. Not all of us are teachers or pastors but that does not make our jobs any less important. Not all of us see the increase, some of us plant seeds of the gospel and some water those seeds and finally, some harvest. Every one of us is important to the Body of Christ and every one of us is important to our own local fellowship. God has created you for a purpose, God has given you specific talents and gifts and through Him you are equipped to accomplish that purpose. When we are joined together we present the big picture, the whole puzzle so to speak, of God’s gospel, God’s ways, God’s Kingdom. We cannot do it alone but together we make the picture of His gospel. I want to encourage you to find out where your puzzle piece fits. What were you created to do? What is your ministry?
